Between a Trellis and a Trapshack: Our Home

Dallas and I have been married for about a year and a half now, and we purchased our first home in September! It was a VERY long process.... not one of those cut and dry ones. So, finally being in our home has been very exciting! There is something very liberating in finally having a place to call your own... and having totally bare/ empty walls to do whatever you want with! Though it is a long process getting your house to the way you would like to have it (especially on a budget), here is what we have so far... Hope you like!

This is our back entryway (aka the dog's room!). I took the back off of our sideboard...

painted it white, added some hooks and used it for a shelf.

Our living room area is a work in progress... we were given that awesome steamer

trunk from a friend, and I had been looking for one everywhere!

We found some old closet doors in the shed... I got Dallas to cut the bottoms off and they make great "shutters"!

When we bought the house, one of the things that stood out to us wasthe very dated bathroom... it has PINK fixtures! Needless to say, Dallas wasn't a big fan. I thought that we could paint the bathroom dark to take the attention away from the pink... I think it worked!
